Thanks, Sweet Ajeet!

An almost new Dining Room set was recently given to us for free from Ajeet in South Knoxville via freecycle. (Freecycle is an online community forum whose members offer or ask items of any kind for free with the goal of keeping stuff away from landfills.) It’s a gorgeous set with dark wood. Just a little cleaning and polishing and it looks almost new. It came with an oval dining room table about 5-1/2 ft. long plus two leaves, 6 chairs, buffet and hutch, and credenza.
I’m still giddy with this find! Who knew that furniture, which would have cost a couple thousand bucks if we bought it ourselves, would be gracing our dining room area for just the cost of a rental truck! Ajeet mentioned that she bought this furniture from one of her friends last year but she was looking to downsize to an apartment in a few months which was why she was looking for a new home for it. We are looking forward to years of good food and conversations around this table as we grow our family. Already, we are enjoying it! Thanks again, Ajeet!
If you’re interested, check online to see if your area has a local freecycle network. Do yourself and others a favor by reusing and recycling their/your stuff. Someone’s always in need of something and someone always has something to throw away – why not offer it on freecycle instead. After all, these are hard times and anything free is a a good thing.
